What a great opportunity this has been to place my focus on others. I don't have a husband to take care of every night. Why not spend that time hanging out with girlfriends, going to coffee with new friends, and leading a high school bible study? I can count the nights that I've been home on one hand. I'm always, always on the go and it has given me a full heart. I love being around these girls. It's been so neat to see how God has worked in my life to renew relationships and build new ones. He's so faithful, y'all.
It's been so fun to have so many "girl" nights, but I've needed some time at home, too. I'm definitely one who thrives on a little bit of alone time, so those few nights that I've been solo have truly been refreshing. Here's my "to do" list for these next few months of "single weeks"!
I've already started on a few of these, but need to get going on the rest! I want to be intentional with my time with others, but I also want to be intentional to take a little bit of time every week to rest and rejuvenate at home. I don't want my husband to come home on the weekends to a tired and spent wife because I've used up all my energy during the week.
What about you? How are you choosing to be intentional with your time?
