I don't really have much for Wedding Wednesday today. We've got a list of "little" things that need to be done and I'm seriously itching to cross some things off the list. With only 37 days to go we've GOT to get going on some things! March 8th will be here in a flash!
One of the biggest things that I've got to do now is plan and style our sweetheart table! I want a sweetheart table for 2 reasons:
1: They are stinkin' cute. Seriously, one of the cutest aspects of a reception!
2: I want a place where we can sit, put our stuff, and just REST if we need to. I'm determined to not let my wedding slip away without actually enjoying it. Right after the ceremony we will head into the house and have a sit down dinner together so that we can talk, eat, and really enjoy each other before the rush of the reception. I'm hoping that having a sweetheart table will show people that it is "our" table and if we are sitting at it we probably don't want to be bothered!
Maybe I look like a bridezilla now? Oops!
Here are some sweet ideas that I'm just head over heels for...
I just don't know what to do! I want to keep things light and fresh and I'm thinking of doing the ribbon and letters on our chairs like the picture above. Whatever we do, I just want it to "pop" against all our other decor!
What do you think? Did you have a sweetheart table? Any suggestions as to how I can make it a cute part of our reception?
PS. Don't miss my guest post on being friends with your significant other on Katie's blog today!

We had a sweetheart table and it did seem to keep people "away". We really only sat at it to eat and once we were finished we mingled. Love all the photos you picked for inspiration. We added succulents to ours and I loved the look.
I love the last two inspiration pictures! I'm sure whatever you choose will be amazing! Can't wait to see how all these little details come together!
I think it's a great idea and we had one, too! I agree with Amanda! I like the last two inspiration pics, too!
This table is a great idea in hopes of not being too crowded. We had one but it did not work as well as I expected. Plus, since there were so many people around, we actually never sat down. Nevertheless, our family and friends crowded around at the nearest reserved tables and we were able to grab pictures like crazy since everyone was in reach. Good luck to you! Depending upon the number of guests and what is going on at the time, it may work well for you!
good idea! jonathan & I seriously didn't even sit down OR eat at our wedding! it was such a whirlwind! make sure you get some time to yourselves for minute.... and eat :)
These are all such cute ideas for a sweetheart table. From my experience, not all guests will get the jist to leave you alone if you're sitting at it. I went with one at my wedding and as soon as we sat down to eat, right after the emcee said, "Let's let the couple eat first and then they'll be around to say hello" someone came up and bombarded us with marriage advice. :) We took it in stride and tried to eat as much as possible :) No matter what, it's your wedding, so enjoy!
My husband and I decided against sitting down all together! When we arrive at our reception venue, after pictures, our guests were in cocktail hour. We had our caterer set up two plates for us in a private room so that we could enjoy and relish the moment that we just shared together. We ate what we could because our bellies were full of butterflies and excitement. It really allowed us a moment of "us" time for the next few hours. Sure we walked around like Cinderella and Prince Charming at Disney World meeting and taking pictures with our guests but we had the opportunity to eat which most couples state is the biggest complaint on their wedding day. Sweetheart tables are cute but private moments with your sweetheart are irreplaceable.
Cheers and congrats!

This is SUCH a perfect idea for the reception! I absolutely love this. LOVE. It'll be so perfect for the two of you...so sweet! Oh, and I am IN LOVE with the new design. It is so pretty and classic and YOU!
I agree with everyone else! I LOVE this idea for y'all! It will lessen the stress and allow time for you to reflect on the commitment you just made to each other!
yay! So close!
I absolutely recommend having a sweetheart table at your reception! There's something so special about your own little space and somewhere to go when you want it to be just the two of you. Plus you'll be able to really enjoy your meal and of course each other. That last photo is lovely :)
Hey! I am new to your blog and this post caught my eye:) I just got married this past October and loved that we went with a Sweetheart table. It really gave us time to talk without interuptions and take it all in. Not to mention, the adorable factor;) Hope you have so much fun on your BEST day ever!
I actually just started blogging and excited to share "Wedding Wednesdays" too. It will be nice to reflect on all the wedding bliss!
